Robert M. Place (* 1948) is Tarot book author and Tarot card designer (Alchemical Tarot, Angels Tarot, Buddha Tarot, Tarot of the Saints, Tarot of the Sevenfold Mystery - each book produced with an accompanying book)). One of his literary works ("Tarot: History, Symbolism, and Divination", 2000) touches our own topic Tarot History of 15th century, it was well received by the public. In one of his new projects he attempts to reconstruct the fragmented deck shown at various printed sheets from 15th/16th century (working title: "Facsimile Italian Renaissance Woodcut Tarocchi"), the originals nowadays housed at various museums (Metropolitan Museum and others, compare Kaplan Encyclopedia II, page 271 - 283 or the cards of the original woodcut). Robert Place cooperates with the Italian Museo de Tarocchi to organize visiting tours to Italy. Foreign Links |
