| Detlef Hoffmann, the leading German playing card researcher, wrote in 1972 a book about Playing Cards, which largely distributed and was translated in English language. In the meantime Hoffmann has engaged in various other books, the IPCS-bibliography knows about 20 more other texts, some of them include topics to Tarot.
